Flexera Unveils New Products and Solutions at BriForum

BriForum is a conference dedicated to both desktop and application virtualization. At the most recent BriForum in London on May 23 through May 24, Flexera presented a variety of Application Readiness solutions for Application Virtualization, Virtual Desktop Assessment, Cloud Enablement, Windows 7 migrations and Desktop transformation.

When administrators deploy a new OS like Windows 7, they engage in one of the riskiest IT functions. A software package that operates poorly could crash critical applications, slow productivity and hike up help desk costs.

To help IT personnel manage these situations, Flexera offers the AdminStudio suite for reliable MSI (News - Alert) packaging, application virtualization and Windows 7 migration.

The AdminStudio Virtualization Pack tests software for virtualization suitability and delivers automated conversion. Users will also receive validation, editing and management reporting capabilities with the package.

By converting MSIs and legacy installers to virtual application formats, the Virtualization Pack will decrease the cost and time associated with migration projects.

An additional Flexera virtualization solution, the AdminStudio Virtual Desktop Assessment program, monitors the behaviors of applications, users and computers. With the information provided, administrators can reduce costs associated with user-centric computing and desktop virtualization. Users can also minimize risks and plan more effectively.

BriForum brings together industry analysts, bloggers, authors, solutions providers and IT employees from all over the globe. Through the conference, attendees can share knowledge of desktop and application virtualization trends and technologies, allowing them to stay ahead of the learning curve.

BriForum also offers over 30 sessions led by technical experts and live demos in the conference’s demo lab. For those who can’t attend, BriForum offers online access to recorded sessions from its London show. VDI, remote desktop services, BYOD, mobile device management and consumerization are also important agenda topics.

Flexera will present a similar program at BriForum’s Chicago conference in July. The Chicago conference will take place at the McCormick Place Conference Center from July 24 through July 26.
