We subscribe to hundreds of channels for a monthly fee, of which we may actually use only three. Regardless of this demand, however, a la carte pricing for television is practically non-existent. There are interesting motivations fueling this bundle sales model, and it is important that the software industry evaluate its options carefully in this regard.
